Our Spiritual Identity in Christ Series

Below you will find a collection of verses that describe our relationship with God as sons & daughters of Him.

Sons & Daughters of God:

Romans 8:14-16
"For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. [15] For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out "Abba! Father!" [16] The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,"

2 Corinthians 6:18
"And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me," says the Almighty."

Gal 3:26-28
"For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For all of you who were baptized into Christ Jesus have clothed yourself with Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Gal 4:6-7
"And because you are children, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" [7] Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a child; and if child, then an heir through God."

1 John 3:1-2
"See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. [2] Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is."

John 1:12-13
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, [13] who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

Romans 8:29-30
"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren; [30] and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

Ephesians 1:5-6
"He predestined us to adoption as children through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, [6] to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved."

Ephesians 5:8-10
"for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light [9] (for the fruit of light consists of goodness and righteousness and truth), [10] trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord."
