Our Spiritual Identity in Christ Series

Below you will find a collection of verses that describe our spiritual location, our home in heaven, and our spiritual status according to God.

1 Corinthians 1:30
"But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,"

Ephesians 2:5-7
"even when we were dead in our transgressions, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), [6] and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, [7] in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."

Ephesians 1:3
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."

Hebrews 11:16
"But as it is, they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them."

Luke 17:20-21
[20] "Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; [21] nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!" or, "There it is!" For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst."

John 14:20-21
"In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. [21] He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him."

Ephesians 2:19-22
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, [20] having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, [21] in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; [22] in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
[16] Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17] If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy and that is what you are."

1 Corinthains 6:16
[16] "Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

Psalm 82:1-8
[1] "God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the gods. [2] How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? [3] Vindicate the weak and the fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and destitute. [4] Rescue the weak and the needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. [5] They do not know nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. [6] I said, "You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. [7] Nevertheless you will die like men, and fall like anyone of the princes." [8] Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who dost possess all the nations."

John 10:34-38
"Jesus answered them, "Has it not been written in your Law, 'I said you are gods'? [35] If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), [36] do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, "I am the Son of God'? [37] If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; [38] but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."
