Below
are some verses that describe the gift God gave us of His righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus.
The Righteousness of God:
Romans 3:22, 23
"even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who
believe; for there is no distinction; [23] for all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 1:30
" But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God,
and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,"
1 Corinthians 6:11
" And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but
you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of
our God."
2 Corinthians 5:21
"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him."
Galatians 3:6-9
"Even so Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. [7]
Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are children of Abraham.
[8] And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith,
preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "All the nations shall be
blessed in you. [9] So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham the
believer."
Galatians 3:11
"Now that no-one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, "The righteous
man shall live by faith."
Free:
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty. [18] But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a
mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image
from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
Romans 8:2
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free
from the the law of sin and of death."
Colossians 1:13
"For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred
us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,"
1 Peter 2:10
"for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God;
you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
Colossians 2:13-15
"And when you were dead in your transgressions and uncircumcision
of your flesh, He made us alive together with Him, having forgiven us all
our transgressions, [14] having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting
of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it
out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [15] When He had disarmed
the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed
over them through Him."
Forgiven:
Romans 4:7-8
"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose
sins have been covered, [8] Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will
not take into account,"
